Zimbabweans from across the political and social divide including those in government as well as the ruling Zanu PF party fed-up with President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s administration must unite for freedom, President Chamisa has said.
The President told cheering supporters at Rufaro Stadium to mark the party’s 20th anniversary on Saturday, 28th September that Mnangagwa’s government is reaching “breaking point.” “You have seen that the country is facing the precipice. Zanu PF has failed. All progressive forces must unite”.
“The students, teachers, political parties, churches as well as those in government and in Zanu PF unhappy with Mnangagwa must unite for a free Zimbabwe campaign he said to a rapturous applause. He added: “Lets join forces because the breaking point is coming.”
President Chamisa called for what he said are “genuine dialogue” mediated by a neutral arbiter. He repeated his call, telling his adversary that the country’s economy will continue to deteriorate.
The President added that “we are ready to take charge and create the smart cities that we all want and the revitalisation of our rural areas”.
